NSW: Carr allays concerns about DNA testing
New South Wales Premier BOB CARR says new state legislation allowing DNA testing of
prisoners gets the balance correct between community interest and privacy rights.
Five thousand prisoners serving time in the state's jails for serious offences and
who are close to release, are the first being tested under the new laws.
