WA: Injured man released from hospital

PERTH, April 6 AAP - A 29-year-old Aboriginal man seriously injured after he was allegedly
stabbed by two British backpackers has been released from hospital.

The man received multiple stab and slash wounds to his head, throat and body after
he was involved in an altercation in central Perth on March 25.

A Royal Perth Hospital spokeswoman said the man, from Wiluna in central Western Australia,
had recovered enough to be discharged from the hospital yesterday.

Alan John McPherson, 33, of Glasgow, and David Dermont Howells, 34, of Chester, will
face Perth Magistrate's Court on May 17, each charged with causing grievous bodily harm.
