NSW: The NSW snow report for Tuesday August 17
SYDNEY, Aug 17 AAP - The NSW snow report for Tuesday August 17:
THREDBO: Blue skies and light winds across the resort today. Up high, cover is light
and dry on a firm base. The lower slopes will soften up through the morning. All runs,
all lifts and all parks are open. Groomed runs including Sundance, Supertrail, World Cup
and Sundowner. All roads are open.
PERISHER BLUE: A mostly fine day with possible snow showers this afternoon. There's
a light breeze up high and no wind in village. Dry, deep powder everywhere gives extensive
cover across the resort. 49 lifts to operate. Recommended runs include Excelerator, Happy
Valley and Fun Run. Roads are open but take care of ice and snow on near Guthega Power
Station.
CHARLOTTE PASS: Clear skies and no wind expected today. Excellent, hard-packed powder
across the resort. All groomed runs are open with conditions softening as the day goes
on. Great sporting conditions throughout. Groomed runs include Exhibition, Austrian and
New Zealand. All five lifts operating.
SELWYN: Clear skies, cold temperatures and the wind is calm. A very cold night has
firmed up snow but groomers are out to ensure it's a good day on the slopes. All runs
are open and groomed for skiing and snowboarding. Ten of the 11 lifts are operating and
all roads are open.
