NSW: Wollongong Uni launches appeal against sacked academic
SYDNEY, Feb 27 AAP - A university which lost an unfair dismissal case against one ofits most vocal academics has launched an appeal.
Dr Ted Steele was dismissed from his position as associate professor of microbiologyat the University of Wollongong on February 26 last year.
He had worked at the university for more than 11 years.
Dr Steele's sacking came after comments he made to a newspaper about academic standardsfollowing two incidents where unnamed honours students gained marks he believed were toohigh.
